Re: MCHA Marine Wall Project: Rectifier Locations at Waterway Island
As you are aware, the Morgan Creek Harbor Association (MCHA) is in process of finalizing the details for the installation of the Cathodic Protection System (CPS) and the repairs/coating of the marine wall.
The CPS requires many details in the location of the rectifiers, which in part have been finalized on the south side of the marina wall working with the associations. The MCHA Board is mindful of the homeowners concerns regarding the rectifier locations at Waterway Island, and are requesting the owners to select location choices for the following thirteen (13) rectifiers:
_____ Rectifiers fronting homes in the utility easement, 12 ft. off the roadway and
screened with landscaping. This will involve placement of thirteen individual rectifiers,
near transformers, along lot lines in thirteen locations. (Plat 1)
_____ Rectifiers grouped together in select locations in the greenbelt areas (Three areas
with 4-5 rectifiers grouped with landscape screening). (Plat 2)
Click the button above to open plats page showing the two areas noted to select the rectifier locations. The Board is sending this to all owners that live within Waterway Island for their majority response by January 6, 2023.
Also included is an example of a landscape design for the Greenbelt option, however, the landscaping will differ by location to offer the best blending opportunity to screen the rectifiers.
Thank you for your attention to the matter as this is the last decision delaying the beginning of this project. The project will be underway once this decision of the rectifier locations on Waterway Island is finalized.
