- We received the DHEC project permit renewal, and the permit is posted at the Yacht harbor Bath house
- We have agreed to acceptance criteria with Southern cathodic to authorize payments to the coating contractors’ PMI. The coating job is divided into 60, 100 foot sections with each inspection result documented and signed by the quality inspector Steve Williams.
· Upon section completion, several board members will be presented with the required
documentation and participate in a visual review/wall walk of the bulkhead before
payment.
- PMI has completed coating along the bathhouse bulkhead up to C-Dock. The first 2 sections have been documented as substantially complete and authorized for 95% payment.
- PMI has hired a 3rd welder to make weld repairs ahead of the abrasive blasting and coating team. The number of required repairs from corrosion holes is significant and higher than planned. There will be additional project costs above budget if the current repair rate continues. This cost will be paid out of project reserves.
- Boat movements continue to be coordinated by Laurie to stay just ahead of the coating team
- We are still waiting for the availability of a landscape architect to complete the design of the landscaping along the marina (A-H docks) to blend well with the enclosures
- The concrete cap coating test section is located by the bathhouse for review. Everyone who has reviewed so far has favored the crushed oyster shells over the grey flake.
- Southern cathodic has ordered the anodes and rectifier power cabling. Delivery is expected in 6 weeks. Installation should start once the materials arrive.
- Boring in Morgan place is complete at the pool and cul de sac locations. Rectifier mounting pad installation should begin in the next 2 weeks, middle of June
- Boring on Waterway Island for rectifier power cabling is planned to start June 5th.
- Project completion is still expected by November of this year.
