Dear Morgan Place Bulkhead Homeowners (17-51)
The Morgan Creek Harbor Association (MCHA) marine wall project is moving along swiftly in Morgan Place, with the locations of the rectifiers in the common area spaces (side of pool and cul-de-sac at north end) and the boring of two sections to service the rectifiers.
There was an issue at the north end, whereby a Dominion Electric line was not identified by the state locating service and was nicked by the MCHA boring company. Dominion Electric is boring new lines to the transformer between #19 & #20. There is still work to be completed at the north end, burying the exposed MCHA boring tubes between #19 & #20, installing a water meter to service the landscape screening in the cul-de-sac and pouring concrete pads for the rectifiers. The Board worked with the owner of #62 regarding a location near his home and next to the common area at the pool, to screen the rectifiers from the owner’s view. Additional removal of landscaping is required near the pool to place the rectifiers on concrete pads, rebuild a small knee wall along the owner’s driveway, and re-landscape.
The next portion of the landside project in Morgan Place is related to removing a 10 ft. wide path of trees and shrubs behind homes 17-51 in the MCHA easement, as noted in the 7/20/22 memorandum. Green Carolina Landscaping will begin this project within the next two weeks, which timeline updates are forthcoming. They will be marking all utility lines along the easement and possibly between homes for this project. We will reach out to the individual owners as they work in sections for the removal along the wall.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email should you have any questions or concerns. The landscape contractor and a Board member can set a time to meet with you on site as well.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter!
Laurie Schueler
