Project Update 12/21/2022

- The DHEC work permit for bulkhead repairs expires in May. DHEC has informed us that as we get close to the expiration date we will be granted an extension if the work is not complete and the work scope is unchanged. This is good news and means we will Not apply for an extension at this time as earlier planned by JGT.

- Chris Moore from JGT will walk the entire concrete cap with Davidson Williams from Southern Concrete and Construction Thursday 12/22 to photograph and document all the expansion joints and top coat that requires repair. The Current estimate for expansion joint repair is $106K. We will also get bids for the diamond grind, prime, and epoxy seal the concrete cap. Steve Wiliams will send us the Spec to use for concrete coating.

- Blu Tide Marine Construction will perform the hardware repairs of the dock gangway attachment plates and anchors. Chris Moore is coordinating this work statement.

- PMI is making 3 test panels with the Thiokol sealant to use in the joints. They will test the sealant with TZ-904 under the paint and over the paint and perform adhesion tests. They prefer to use under the paint if the adhesion is good.

- The board recommends sending notices and maps to all the homeowners on waterway island with both rectifier location options: 1. located on homeowners property, 1 per located in the front or side yard or 2. Located in 3 wooded areas of the greenspace in groups of 4 or 5. Both options will be landscaped to blend in with the existing landscaping. Laurie will send the notices after the holiday.

- The Morgan Place rectifier landscaping at the cul de sac will require irrigation and an IOP water irrigation meter. This will cost $5249
